Harry Kane was questioned for going to The Masters, as the Tottenham striker 'seemed jet lagged' in the club's defeat to Brighton.

A 1-0 loss at home to the Seagulls dented the club's Champions League hopes, in which they did not have a single shot on target.

Whilst the England captain hasn't had the best of seasons in front of goal, the last 9 games before the Brighton loss has seen him return to the form that saw him win last season's Golden Boot.

In that run, he scored seven goals and produced six assists.

But that came to an abrupt end against Graham Potter's side, and now Spurs will be looking anxiously over their shoulders after Manchester United's win against Norwich.

Kane and co. know that top four is still in their own hands, but they cannot afford another loss.

And speaking on talkSPORT's GameDay - Your Verdict, former Aston Villa striker believed Kane should be questioned for going to The Masters.

“I think little things [make a difference], if you’re Harry Kane for instance, I’m his biggest fan, but if you’re flying after the Aston Villa game to The Masters, doing that travelling and coming back, and then putting in that performance, questions have to be asked on Harry Kane,” he said.

“Was that the right thing for him to go and do? Because they were toothless going forward Spurs, no shots on target.

“Everytime they seem to get a little bit of an edge against Arsenal and Manchester United, they throw it away.

“100 per cent he would have had approval [to go], but the way he played, it seemed like he was jet-lagged, it wasn’t the Harry Kane we’re used to seeing.

“And everytime they seem to get a lead in this race for top four, they keep letting Manchester United back into it, especially Arsenal as well.

“So as much as we keep looking at fixtures and what the results are going to be, these teams look like they could lose any game, any week.”
