Liverpool transfer news: No Salah, no problem! £15m alternative and more targets

Liverpool have been handed a huge blow with the news top transfer target Mohamed Salah has opted to join Chelsea from FC Basel.

Brendan Rodgers had been tracking the Egyptian, 21, for 'a number of months' but, never fear Reds fans, it appears the Northern Irish boss has a Plan B.

Speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, he said: "[Salah is] a boy that is a talent. He is 21 years of age and people saw his qualities in the games against Chelsea and Tottenham in Europe, but you need to have that list because if it doesn't work out then you are hoping there are one or two others."
