Erik ten Hag’s transfer plans at Manchester United may have been dealt a blow with two of his top stars at Ajax set to sign for Bayern Munich.

Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui are both expected to end up in Bavaria, despite Ten Hag revealing there is nothing stopping him from signing his former players.

Ten Hag will take over the reins as United’s new manager this summer, with plenty of work to do on and off the field.

Interim coach Ralf Rangnick recently revealed that there could be as many as 10 signings this summer, with a squad overhaul expected after the club recorded their worst-ever Premier League campaign.

And it would have come as no surprise if some of the incomings were to be from Ajax, with the Dutch giants continually producing some of the game’s very best talent.

Ten Hag was even asked about the possibility of taking some of his current squad with him to Manchester, and revealed there’s nothing to stop that from happening.

“There is no agreement in place that would exclude me from taking players to Manchester United,” he said.

“Which Ajax players are interesting? I have very good players here, but that’s a non-issue.

“We now have to become champions and everything should be focused on that.”

Two of his most highly regarded players in the Netherlands, Gravenberch and Mazraoui, will instead travel south to Munich though, according to .

This takes away two of Ten Hag’s best options from his current squad, but there’s plenty more that catch the eye.

Thrilling Brazilian winger Antony is expected to be available for a fee of £55million, while centre-back Jurrien Timber has received rave reviews this season.

Former West Ham striker Sebastien Haller could also be an option, with Argentina international Lisandro Martinez also attracting attention.
