‘You don’t let Sadio Mane go anywhere’ – Simon Jordan warns Liverpool not to sell Senegal star amid Bayern Munich transfer links

Liverpool have been warned not to sell Sadio Mane as they will find it hard to replace him.
Reports emerged on Monday that Bayern Munich were targeting a move for the Africa Cup of Nations winner.
Mane has a contract at Anfield until June 2023, but it is believed negotiations have taken place over extending that deal.
A report in Sky Germany claims adds Mane’s agent met with Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic over the weekend regarding a potential ‘statement’ transfer, but there has been no direct contact between the clubs.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes Liverpool would be silly for even entertaining the thought of selling one of their best players.
Speaking on White and Jordan on talkSPORT, he said: “If it isn’t broke then don’t fix it. Mane is an outstanding player and you don’t let him go anywhere.
“Why would Mane want to play for Munich over Liverpool? I’m sure there will be a group of German fans saying ‘because we are going to win the league and we’re this that or the other’.
“It’s about the economics of what he’s being paid then they’ll have to match those expectations, or they’ll have to replace him.
“He will be very difficult to replace. You are going to replace what you bought him for from Southampton all those years ago, because he’s a really, really good player.
“They just won the Africa Cup of Nations and Liverpool are on the cusp of doing something very significant. I don’t think it will be the quadruple, but there’s a distinct possibility they will do the treble.
“They don’t need to break this up.”
