Liverpool and Manchester City in four-way battle to sign £16m-rated Roma playmaker Leandro Paredes

Juventus and Monaco have both joined the race to land Liverpool and Manchester City target Leandro Paredes.

The Argentinean's future has been a hot topic this summer, with a move away from AS Roma expected.

Both Premier League clubs have hoped to lure him to England but he has so far stayed put in the Italian capital.

Schalke had then appeared his most likely destination, however reports in Italy suggested that he did not fancy the switch to Germany.

The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Empoli, would reportedly prefer to remain in Italy - and they have approached Roma about a second loan.

But now both Juventus and Monaco are weighing up offers, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, and could be about to make their moves for the £16million rated star.
