Everton are still in a relegation dogfight after Brentford came from behind to beat them 3-2 at Goodison Park on Sunday.

The Toffees knew that a win would have pretty much sealed their status in the top flight for another year.

The Merseyside club scored first through Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goal, but things started to go wrong when Jarrad Branthwaite was sent off for denying Ivan Toney a clear goalscoring opportunity.

The Bees equalised when Yoane Wissa's strike deflected off Seamus Coleman's head and ended up in the back of the net.

Richarlison restored the home side's advantage from the penalty spot, only Wisa to draw Brentford level with an ingenious header from a Christian Eriksen corner.

The away side's winner came just moments later, and it was a bullet header from Rico Henry.

Everton pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, and brought Salomon Rondon on, but he was sent off after four minutes for a brutal challenge on Henry.
