Man City want Manchester United target Kalvin Phillips as Fernandinho replacement with Leeds and England star tipped as ‘ideal player’ for Pep Guardiola

Manchester City are reportedly targeting Leeds and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips as a replacement for Fernandinho this summer.
The 36-year-old, who has spent nine years at the club and won 11 major trophies, is out of contract in June and has stated that he will not sign a new deal at the Etihad.
Ilkay Gundogan is also reportedly set to leave Man City at the end of the season, as the German - who was Guardiola's first signing for the club - searches for more regular first-team football.
And, according to the , City see £50million-rated Phillips as the 'ideal player' to replace the duo this summer.
The Premier League champions are said to have sent scouts to watch the 26-year-old several times this season, who will likely leave Leeds if they are relegated.
Aston Villa are also believed to be interested in the England international, after they had a bid rejected for him in the January transfer window.
Manchester United are also rumoured to be keeping close tabs on him, but Phillips - a boyhood Leeds fan - is unlikely to join one of the club's fierce rivals.
City is a much more realistic option for the Three Lions midfielder, who could be the second of Gareth Southgate's squad to make a big-money move to City, after his international teammate Jack Grealish's £100m move last summer.
