AC Milan to rival Man United for Portugal ace?

AC Milan are plotting a summer swoop for long-standing Manchester United target Fabio Coentrao.
Milan, who are under the leadership of new manager Clarence Seedorf, are expected to revamp their squad in the summer following a dismal season and they are keen on Coentrao.
The Portugal international, whose deadline day switch to Old Trafford back in August failed at the 11th hour, is not Carlo Ancelotti’s first-choice left-back at the Bernabeu and may be considered expendable in the summer.
Milan want to take him on a season-long loan with the option to turn it permanent if he impresses at the San Siro.
David Moyes is poised to overhaul the Manchester United defence in the summer - captain Nemanja Vidic has already said he will leave - and he has been tipped to bring in a new left-back as Patrice Evra’s contract expires in June.
The Scot must, however, battle interest from Milan if he chooses to revive his interest in Coentrao.
