West Ham forced to delete Gianluca Scamacca announcement after misspelling name of new signing in Twitter video

West Ham were forced to redo their announcement for Gianluca Scamacca after misspelling the name of their new signing.
The Hammers confirmed the arrival of the 23-year-old striker on Tuesday after striking a £31million deal with Serie A side Sassuolo.
Scamacca bagged 16 league goals last season and earned a call-up to the Italy first-team, establishing himself as one of the hottest properties in Italian football.
West Ham revealed the news with a classy video, nodding to Channel 4's iconic Football Italia coverage from the nineties.
However, the Hammers had to delete their first attempt after spelling Scamacca's name wrong.
The Premier League side also had Scamacca's new No.7 shirt available on their club shop before the official announcement on social media.
Nevertheless, Scamacca believes West Ham is the perfect fit for him after penning a five-year deal at the London Stadium.
"I've waited a long time for this moment - it's been a dream to play in the Premier League," Scamacca said.
West Ham will now turn their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic.
The 29-year-old impressed against the Hammers in the Europa League last season and talks are thought to be at an advanced stage.
Rivals Tottenham were previously linked to Kostic but in the end opted to sign Ivan Perisic on a free transfer.
