Chelsea ‘working on deals’ for Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana and Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries with Blues to offer Brendan Rodgers players in part-exchange

Chelsea are 'working on' deals for Leicester City's Wesley Fofana and Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries.
The Blues have had a bumpy ride when it comes to transfer activity this summer, missing out on key targets Jules Kounde, Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake and Presnel Kimpembe.
But when it comes to their other targets, it looks as though Chelsea aren't going to give up without a fight for these two, with the London side wanting to bring both, not just one, to Stamford Bridge.
According to , Chelsea are working away on deals to sign the sought-after pair.
This is despite Leicester not being too keen on giving Fofana away, with them heavily relying on the Frenchman and other stars with them yet to make any signings this summer to keep within Financial Fair Play rules.
It's also understood that Chelsea are confident they can lower Leicester's asking price of £80million for the centre-back by offering them players.
Meanwhile, the Blues are understood to be real admirers of Dumfries, and have an advantage in that they've worked with the Serie A side in loaning Romelu Lukaku to them.
It could be another good bit of business for all parties should of the right wing-back go to Stamford Bridge.
Inter Milan need to raise money after recording the highest-ever loss by an Italian football club of £206.3 million in 2020/2021.
So far, Chelsea have managed to add centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly to his squad, alongside forward Raheem Sterling.
