Arsenal have been the Premier League's biggest spenders in recent years, and Mikel Arteta has hinted at further signings by declaring: "It's not going to stop."

The Gunners have been prolific in the transfer market already this summer having signed five players for the first-team squad.

They include big-money deals for Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Man City, Fabio Vieira from Porto, Matt Turner from New England Revolution and Marquinhos from Sao Paulo.

Arsenal's spending this summer is not out of the ordinary - Arteta's side spent big last term with deals for the likes of Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale.

In fact, the Gunners are the Premier League's highest spending club during the last three transfer windows, having spent £278.3million since the start of summer 2021.

That's more than Man City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool who have spent significantly less in that time.

The Gunners missed out on a top-four finish last term and will be desperate to secure Champions League football this time around, with new signings set to play a big role in their quest.

And Arteta has hinted that their business is far from done.
