Everton ‘should send Anthony Gordon to Chelsea in a cab for £60million’ as Simon Jordan makes Steve Sidwell and Danny Drinkwater comparisons

Simon Jordan has told Everton to take the £60million Chelsea are offering for Anthony Gordon and run.
It is understood Chelsea have submitted a new bid for the 21-year-old winger, having had an offer for him rejected earlier this summer.
The fee may come as a surprise for a player in the infancy of his career, with ex-Crystal Palace chairman Jordan among those shocked to see Chelsea offering as much as £60m.
"We are living in a world that's falling apart... and football seems to be ignoring that," he said on White and Jordan.
"And looking at the reality of the situation, and I know sport will be a constant because the one thing people will be able to do is sit at home and watch sport during the winter because they can't do much else, because they haven't got much money and will perhaps value sport even higher.
"But look at these transfers. Anthony Gordon for 60 million quid, what?! £60million for Anthony Gordon?!
"Send him in a cab, quick! Before someone actually wakes up and smells the coffee. 60 million quid?!"
"Sell him, cash in on him," Jordan added.
"Brighton took £62million for Marc Cucurella. If Chelsea are stupid enough to be the latest incarnation of Johnny Splash-a-cash let them pay for him.
"Go and get the £60million. I think most Evertonians will look at it with disappointment but realise it's good business and they'll want it spent back in the team."
Jordan suggested Gordon could end up like previous players at Chelsea that have joined from smaller clubs.
"He can go into Chelsea and potentially he can sit in the same position as people like Steve Sidwell and Danny Drinkwater sat in," Jordan said.
"Because it's no given, he's not learned his trade yet. He hasn't earned the opportunity for 60 million quid but Todd Boehly and his team, and I've been critical of Gary Neville and the argument he makes, but if they're so desperate to spend ridiculous amounts of money, Everton would be well served to turn this into a proper financial windfall.
"They can use that to spend on players that want to be at Everton."
