‘I well up every time I watch it’ – Wales boss Rob Page reacts to Michael Sheen’s spine-tingling speech and invites actor to World Cup opener against USA

Wales manager Rob Page has invited Michael Sheen to the nation's first World Cup fixture following his spine-tingling motivational speech.
The Welshman, who is regarded as one of the greatest British actors of the modern era, appeared as a guest on Sky's 'A League Of Their Own', where he launched into a monologue.
Lasting for more than a minute and a half, Sheen's speech earned a standing ovation from guests including Romesh Ranganathan, Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp.
Since then, it has gone viral on social media, with Sheen being hailed for his incredible performance in the clip.
With Wales preparing for the World Cup in Qatar this winter, their head coach Page has revealed that he will be inviting Sheen to their opening clash against the USA on November 21.
Speaking in a press conference, Page said: “He’s coming to the first (World Cup) game with me.
“It’s fantastic. I well up every time I watch it. I’d been in a meeting in Cardiff and my phone was going mad so I knew something significant had happened.
“When I watched it, wow, (I was) very emotional. Personally I want to thank him for doing that.
"I want to let him know that I appreciate what he’s done there. Because we’re on the map, but he’s taken it to another level for us.
“I’ve already had messages from the players… they want to get him in straightaway, absolutely.”
Responding to the section where Sheen says, 'Give them some Welsh sugar', Page responded: "Outstanding, outstanding. Give them some sugar.
“When you’ve got the passion to do that, we’ve got to use it to our benefit, absolutely.”
