DEAL BACK ON! Juventus set to sign £25m Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi

Juventus are finally closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea and Manchester United target Blaise Matuidi.

Reports in France this week had suggested that the midfielder's wage demands could scupper any move to Turin but the deal appears to be back on.

According to L'Equipe, Matuidi has finally agreed to a four-year deal worth around £7.7million per year, which is in line with what he earns at Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, the French club are set to bank an initial £25.6m, with a further £3.4m in performance-related add-ons.

Juve have been searching for a replacement for Paul Pogba since his switch to Manchester United and identified Matuidi, who played alongside Pogba for France at this summer's Euro 2016 championships, as the perfect option.

However both Chelsea and United have tracked the 29-year-old and may have been given hope when talks regarding a move to Juve seemed to stall.

But it seems that everything is now in place for Matuidi to head to the Serie A champions.
