Liverpool ran out comfortable 2-0 winners in their Battle of Britain Champions League clash against Rangers at Anfield.

The Reds' 2-1 win over Ajax in Group A had represented their only win in their past four games in what has been a slow start to the season.

But a brilliant free-kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold put Jurgen Klopp’s men ahead early on before Mohamed Salah’s second-half penalty secured all three points against the Scottish side.
