Just when Tottenham needed a reaction after a disappointing north London derby defeat, it didn't come.

Spurs put on a lacklustre display in Germany as they drew 0-0 with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Their record against German teams has been poor of late, losing their last four before this match and by an aggregate of 14-3.

Harry Kane has been the one crumb of comfort in those games, scoring in four straight matches against teams from that country.

He scored four times against Borussia Dortmund in three games, and once against Bayern Munich.

However, that run came to an end as blanked against Frankfurt.

Chances were few and far between, with Kane having his first shot on target in the 80th minute.

It was his teammate Heung-min Son who had the bulk of the chances, squandering one-on-one chances that failed to hit the target.

"Missed opportunities for Spurs, Son has been the main culprit," marvelbet369.commentator Stuart Pearce said.

Eintracht Frankfurt missed opportunities of their too, having 12 shots on goal but only two made Hugo Lloris work.

Lloris now has 20 Champions League clean sheets, and is now just one behind former Manchester United goalkeeper Fabien Barthez.
