Despite losing four of their last six, the Cottagers are still inside the top ten and Marco Silva’s side have impressed many so far this campaign.

As for the Cherries, since their 9-0 defeat to Liverpool led to the sacking of Scott Parker, they are unbeaten in five games and have only conceded four goals in that time under interim boss Gary O’Neil.

Fulham vs Bournemouth: What’s been said?

Cottagers boss Silva gave an update on his topscorer’s fitness:

“He’s [Mitrovic] getting better,” he said. “Of course, he did the warm-up with the team, did some boxes and the session was more strategy for the match, of course, but I can tell you that was the first day that he was involved in the team.

“Before he was two-and-a-half weeks without (training) with the team and now we’re checking, assessing how he is feeling as well and we will do the same to take the decision if he will be involved in the squad list or not.

“But it is still soon, let’s see what will happen.”

Fulham vs Bournemouth: Match facts

  • Dominic Solanke – whose next goal will be his 50th in English league football – scored in both of Bournemouth’s meetings with Fulham in the Championship last season, with both matches finishing 1-1.
  • No side have won more Premier League games after conceding the first goal this season than Bournemouth (2). The Cherries’ two wins having conceded first this season is as many victories as they’d managed across their previous two top-flight campaigns combined (1 in 2018-19, 1 in 2019-20).
  • Fulham rank in the bottom seven for overall expected goals this season (9.6). However, they’ve scored around four more goals than their xG suggests (14), with only four sides overperforming by more.
  • Bournemouth have had fewer shots (61), shots on target (20) and a lower expected goals total (4.8) than any other side in the Premier League this season.
  • Following a run of three defeats during which they conceded 16 goals, and culminating in a 9-0 loss at Liverpool, Bournemouth are unbeaten in each of their last five Premier League games (W2 D3), conceding just four goals in this run.
  • Fulham haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven Premier League games (16 goals conceded in total) since a 0-0 draw with Wolves. The Cottagers have also lost back-to-back league games for the first time this season.
  • The away side has won each of the last five Premier League meetings between two promoted clubs, with both Fulham and Bournemouth winning at Nottingham Forest so far this season. It’s the longest run of away wins in meetings between such sides in the competition’s history.
  • Bournemouth have lost seven of their last eight Premier League games in London, conceding at least three goals in five of those seven defeats. The exception was a 1-0 win at Chelsea in December 2019.
  • Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last seven away league games against Fulham (W4 D3) since a 2-0 loss in April 1992.
  • Fulham have won just one of their last 10 league games against Bournemouth (D4 L5), winning 1-0 away from home in April 2019. Both meetings between the sides in the Championship last season ended level.
