Drake Curse strikes again as rapper’s £500,000 bet on Arsenal and Barcelona doesn’t come through, as Xavi’s side lose to Real Madrid wearing shirts with his logo on

Barcelona fell victim to the infamous Drake 'curse' as they were beaten by Real Madrid in El Clasico.
The defeat cost the rapper over £500,000 too, after he backed Xavi Hernandez's side and Arsenal to win their respective matches this weekend.
Drake, whose record label and brand OVO was featured on Barca's shirts for the clash to celebrate him hitting 50 billion streams on Spotify, revealed he placed a CA$8333,333 (about £537,000) for Barcelona and Arsenal to win at the weekend.
The bet would've seen him rake in a whopping 3.9million Canadian dollars or £2.5million.
Arsenal managed to hold on to their 1-0 lead at Leeds, with Bukayo Saka's goal enough to seal all three points.
Barca weren't so lucky, though, as they felt the full effects of the Drake curse.
Goals from Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo saw Xavi's side lose 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Ferran Torres' last-minute strike only serving as a consolation prize.
The defeat marked Barca's first league loss of the season, and also meant Real Madrid replaced them at the top of the table, with the sides on equal footing on 22 points before the match.
And it also meant Canadian rapper Drake lost a whole lot of money.
Of course, Barca's defeat marks yet another instance in which sportsmen have lost a match after associating with the rapper.
Many stars have tasted defeat after posing for a photo with the Canadian artist before, including the likes of former Manchester City star Sergio Aguero, who lost to Tottenham in the Champions League quarter-finals in 2019 after meeting Drake.
Anthony Joshua is also a victim of the infamous curse having suffered a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr after having a picture with Drake.
