Mason Mount looks to continue return to form against Brentford after ending drought in front of Gareth Southgate as James Maddison misses final chance to impress England boss ahead of World Cup

Mason Mount picked the perfect time to break his recent goal drought in front of the watchful eyes of England boss Gareth Southgate last weekend.
The Chelsea midfielder was without a goal in nine Premier League games before he bagged a brace in the club's 2-0 win over Aston Villa.
Mount seized upon an error from Tyrone Mings to grab his first of the campaign, before doubling his tally with a stunning free-kick.
The 23-year-old has been flourishing under new manager Graham Potter, with two goals and as many assists in his last two games.
Yet it may be another English boss that Mount was looking to impress at Villa Park, with Southgate watching from the stands.
Mount has been a firm fixture in recent squads under Southgate but his slow start to the season has seen calls for James Maddison to take his spot in the Three Lions pecking order.
Leicester ace Maddison's combined 27 goals and assists since the start of last season is only bettered by Harry Kane’s 34 in the same period.
But he has failed to be rewarded with more than one solitary England cap despite his performances.
He then picked up a one-game suspension for diving in front of Southgate during Leicester's goalless stalemate with Crystal Palace.
And that was Maddison's last chance to impress the national team manager, who will have already named his preliminary World Cup squad by the time the midfielder returns to domestic action on Sunday.
Mount, whose Villa Park heroics came a day later, has no such concerns with Chelsea set to face Brentford in midweek.
His recent flurry of four-goal involvements in his last two games is one more than he managed in his previous 13 combined!
Mount will now be looking to continue his recent fine form against the Bees, having failed to impact either of their two games last term.
Mount scored in his first meeting with Brentford, a 3-1 win while he was on loan at Derby in the Championship in the 2018/19 season.
However, he was a late substitute in Chelsea's 1-0 victory in this same fixture last campaign, and anonymous as Thomas Frank's scored four at Stamford Bridge in April.
As the only outfield player to start every league match under Potter, Mount will be determined to right that wrong on Wednesday and prove he should also be among the first names on the team sheet in Qatar...
