‘Tottenham are flying right now’ – Ex-Spurs star Jamie O’Hara passionately defends Antonio Conte and insists Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are worried

Jamie O'Hara has launched a passionate defence of former employers Tottenham following criticism aimed at Antonio Conte.

Spurs currently sit third in the table having enjoyed their best start to a Premier League season after ten games.

The north London outfit have picked up 23 points from a possible 30 on offer having won seven and lost only to bitter rivals Arsenal.

They trail the Gunners by just four points following their 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday.

But despite their strong start to the campaign, fans and pundits haven't been impressed by Conte's counter-attacking style of play.

Former QPR boss Neil Warnock described it as 'boring football', while Spurs icon Clive Allen has questioned Conte's tactics.

And O'Hara, who featured 56 times for Spurs between 2005-2011, believes Tottenham are being harshly judged as he stated they are a problem for any team in the top-flight.

Speaking on talkSPORT, O'Hara said: "Everyone on this station digs out Spurs, saying that we're boring, saying that we're not good to watch.

"This is the problem I have with everyone at the minute, Spurs a problem for the big hitters.

"Because Spurs are flying right now, we've got an unbelievable stadium, an unbelievable manager and this is our best start to a Premier League season.

"So the agenda against Spurs is, 'we need to keep Tottenham down there. We need to keep digging at them, keep moaning...'

"We're level on points with Man City! Level on points!"

He added: "Teams like Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, United, Liverpool... they're worried about Tottenham.

"Because they've seen now what we can do and what we can achieve."

Asked by co-host Jason Cundy what can Spurs do, O'Hara roared: "We're level on points with Man City! 23 [points] and you're moaning about our style of football."

O'Hara continued: "No-one gives Tottenham any plaudits for what we're doing as a football club. No-one.

"Everyone is just quick to just put us down again, everyone's raving about Arsenal. Arsenal got pumped at the weekend and nicked a result.

"No-one said about Arsenal being useless in the second half because they got a result.

"But when Tottenham play bad and win, 'oh Tottenham are useless, boring to watch' - we beat Everton 2-0!"
