Liverpool face struggling Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday as they aim to continue their turnaround in form.

The Reds won their second league game in a row in midweek, beating West Ham 1-0 to back up their all-important victory against Manchester City.

This fixture appears on paper as Jurgen Klopp’s side’s easiest of their recent games with Forest sat in the relegation zone.

However, history tells a different story as Liverpool have never won in five Premier League away games against the Tricky Trees.

In fact, The City Ground is the only stadium that they have played at more than once and never won a game.

So the Reds will be out to put an end to their winless streak by maintaining their recent form and a key player who can help them do that is Mohamed Salah.

Salah started the season poorly but has come to life in recent weeks, scoring the fastest hat-trick ever in the Champions League against Rangers and then the winner against Man City last weekend.

This spells danger for Nottingham Forest and things look bleaker when looking at his superb record against newly-promoted sides.

The Egyptian has been involved in 29 goals in his last 30 Premier League games against promoted teams, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists.

As well as Salah’s personal record, Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 16 away games against promoted sides, with their last loss coming at Hull in 2017.

The Reds will be hopeful of continuing this form by winning their first game at The City Ground.
