Inter Milan midfielder emerges as transfer target for Southampton

Inter Milan's Saphir Taider has emerged as summer transfer target for Southampton.

The midfielder joined the San Siro giants from Grenoble in the summer - he is also co-owned by Bologna - but has failed to impress.

Inter coach Walter Mazzarri has struggled to integrate the 22-year-old into his plans and as such, a move away appears increasingly likely.

The Algerian has a contract until 2017 but Southampton believe they can land him on the cheap at the end of the season.
