Disgruntled Ronaldo has been the focus of the front and back pages of newspapers around the globe over the last few days following his criticisms of Manchester United.

The superstar forward is set to captain Portugal at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar but he has first chosen to hit out at his domestic employers.

Ronaldo has criticised the club’s bosses, manager Erik ten Hag, their aspirations and development and pretty much everything else in-between.

He has also taken aim at other United legends such as Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville in a truly extraordinary interview.

CR7 wanted out of Old Trafford last summer but didn’t get his wish.

He has since claimed he’s been ‘betrayed’ by the Red Devils and there is surely no way back for him at the club now.

TalkTV and its host Piers Morgan played out this exclusive scoop over two nights and here’s how you can watch it.

Cristiano Ronaldo interview: What did he say?

Asked by Morgan if the club were trying to force him out, Ronaldo replied: “Yes, not only the coach but the other two or three guys – they’re around the club.”

When quizzed again if senior club executives were trying to oust him, he said: “I don’t care. People should listen to the truth.

“Yes, I felt betrayed and I felt like some people don’t want me here, not only this year, but last year too.”

Ronaldo said of United manager Ten Hag: “I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.

“I don’t know what’s going on but since Sir Alex Ferguson left I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero.

“For example we have an interesting point that, how the club as Manchester United after [they] sack Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer], they buy – they bring, sporting director Ralf Rangnick, which is something that nobody understands. This guy is not even a coach.

“A bigger club like Manchester United brings [a] sporting director – surprised not only me but all the world, you know.

“Nothing changed. Surprisingly. Not only the pool, the jacuzzi, even the gym… Even some points, the technology, the kitchen, the chefs, which is, I appreciate, lovely persons.

“They stopped in a time, which surprised me a lot. I thought I will see different things… different, as I mentioned before, technology, infrastructure. But unfortunately, we see many things that I used to see, when I was 20, 21, 23. So, it surprised me a lot.”

Cristiano Ronaldo interview: What has been said?

Morgan has revealed to talkSPORT that his explosive interview with Ronaldo was the United star’s idea.

“Well, Cristiano asked me to do it – simple as that,” said the TalkTV host. “I didn’t ask him, he asked me.

“It was all very recent. He’s been thinking about this for a while. I think it’s no secret that he’s felt a build-up of deep frustration about what’s been happening at United over the last year.

“He felt it was time to speak out.

“He knows it was going to be incendiary, he knows this is going to rattle some cages, but he also feels that he should be doing this.

“He knows people will criticise him, but he also knows that what he’s saying is true.

“Sometimes the truth hurts.”

United issued a short statement in response on Monday afternoon saying: “Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo.

"The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established.

“Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans.”
