Shock for football fans as beer in Qatar will cost £11.60 as World Cup organisers limit how many pints supporters can drink in bid to stop them getting drunk
Football fans will have to fork out a hefty £11.60 for a pint of beer in Qatar during the World Cup.
Tournament organisers are also limiting supporters to just four drinks, in a bid to stop binge drinking.

The extortionate price will come as surprise to fans after being promised that alcohol would be served at a reasonable price.
It had been thought that the price of a beer would cost between £5-£7 with the cost of a pint to be lowered for the global competition.
But Fifa’s official beer supplier Budweiser will be charging almost £12 for just a 500ml glass.
Qatar 2022 chief executive Nasser Al Khater previously said: "Alcohol is not part of our culture. However, hospitality is.
"Alcohol is not as readily available here as in other parts of the world but for the World Cup we want to ensure it is accessible for fans who want to have a drink.
"So we are trying to find designated locations for fans to have alcohol, other than traditional places such as hotels and so forth.
“We recognise there is an issue with the price and it is something we are looking into. We are looking at finding ways to reduce the price of alcohol.”

Fans will be limited to just four drinks per person in a bid from organisers to stop them getting drunk.
Supporters will be able to have a drink at any official World Cup site, including the fan parks.
Those attending matches won't be allowed to purchase alcohol inside the stadiums in Qatar.
Instead, only non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks will be served inside the grounds.

Although alcohol will be available in hospitality boxes.
Non-alcoholic beer will set fans back £7, with bottles of water to cost £2.30.
An advertising flyer from Budweiser has urged fans to 'Drink Wiser, Cheer Better, Hydrate Between Buds'.
The company added: "Budweiser is proud to be served in compliance with the local rules and regulations by Fifa’s appointed concessionaire."
