Jason Cundy has declared he wants Wales to finish rock bottom of Group B at the World Cup and is desperate for USA to thrash them on Monday.

Rob Page's men are preparing for The Dragons' first match at a World Cup finals since 1958.

First up for England's neighbours is a clash against America, before pitting their wits against Iran and the Three Lions.

And ex-Chelsea defender Cundy has revealed he'd rather Iran qualify for the knockout stages than the Euro 2016 semi-finalists.

Speaking on talkSPORT ahead Wales' World Cup opener, Cundy said: "I'd love Wales to lose.

"I would love to come on air Monday night and look up and see USA five, Wales nil.

"How funny would that be?"

Interjecting, co-host Jamie O'Hara stated: "No that's a disgrace."

Hitting back, Cundy remarked: "No, no, no, I'd rather Iran get through. That's what I'd rather.

"England, Iran, that's it. And Wales bottom, USA third.

"I don't want Wales anywhere near the knockout stages. Why would I?"

To which O'Hara replied: "You can't do that to Wales."

Changing his tune later in the show, O'Hara said: "I'm glad Wales got there.

"Now I want to see them go home with no points, no goals.

"I want them to do a Scotland, limp out.";

Wales' match with USA is live on talkSPORT from 6pm and we will also have a special pre-match preview show and plenty of analysis after full-time.

Hugh Woozencroft will be your host and commentary will come from Nigel Adderley and former Wales striker Dean Saunders.
