Simon Jordan has described Gareth Bale as 'a busted flush' and taken aim at Aaron Ramsey's 'Eminem' hair after Wales' World Cup defeat.

Rob Page's side have it all to do after falling to a disappointing 2-0 loss against Iran in their second Group B match.

As a result, they'll need to beat England to have any chance of progressing to the knockout stage.

Wales usually rely on big performances from the likes of Bale and Ramsey, who have experienced playing football at the highest level, to see them through these sorts of tricky encounters, but even the experienced duo couldn't help the Dragons against Iran.

While the likes of Dean Saunders have suggested that Wales are winners for just making the World Cup, Jordan believes that Bale and co should be aiming higher.

When asked if Bale is a 'busted flush', Jordan said: "I think so.

"I don't think he was particularly potent or influential against USA besides the penalty.

“The Iranians were poor against England and they were made to look far more significant by Wales because Wales were so poor.

“You can dress it up or sugarcoat it, you can turn it into Ramsey posing as Eminem with his bleach blond hairstyle, or you can look at the reality of the situation and Wales had no solution to the challenges Iran advances.”

Jordan added: “The Welsh sat there having a little sing-song when England got knocked out by Iceland. What goes around comes around.”

Jordan continued: “Wales came to this tournament to make an impression. It’s a bad one. See you at home.”

Meanwhile, Alex Crook believes that England could beat Wales next week with their B Team out, saying: “They’re out. Gareth Southgate could make 11 changes and England’s B-team would beat Wales.

“They were so poor. Lacking energy, ideas, invention, heart, desire.

“In Bale and Ramsey, they had two former great players. They were carrying two passengers. You can’t afford to do that at a World Cup.”

Gabby Agbonlahor was also unimpressed, saying that the likes of Kieffer Moore and Robbie Savage's pre-match comments have come back to haunt them.

He said: “Iran are no mugs. They showed that. They deserved the three points.

“Bale didn’t turn up. Moore didn’t turn up. He [Moore] likes to speak about how he wants to knock England out but doesn’t show it on the pitch. Bale was poor. Him and Ramsey didn’t even get on the ball. Poor from Wales, all the best trying to get a result against England.”

Agbonlahor continued: “How can you have players like Moore saying we want to knock England out? Thomas said, ‘We don’t fear England, why can’t we be the ones to knock them out?

“Players shouldn’t talk like that, now they’ve got their medicine and England will give them a good beating next week.

“You had Robbie Savage saying, ‘It’s only Iran, what are England so buzzing about?’ So why couldn’t Wales beat them?"
