‘I forgot I was live’ – Australia World Cup hero Jackson Irvine makes on-air gaffe after win over Denmark

It might be hot over at the World Cup in Qatar but Australia star Jackson Irvine needed to cool off after a hilarious on-air gaffe.
The former Hull City, Hibernian, and Ross County midfielder has been key for the Socceroos as they progressed to the Round of 16 ahead of Denmark and Tunisia.
A shock 1-0 victory over the Danes saw them reach the knockout stages where they will now face Argentina.
The Aussies were understandably delighted with wild scenes at 4am in their homeland.
But there weren't to be any beers for their heroes.
Manager Graham Arnold said after the game: "No celebrations, no emotion, sleep, no social media."
And Irvine echoed his manager but forgot he was live on TV with News Breakfast host Tony Armstrong.
"At the moment there won't be much enjoying going on, I'll be going straight down to start my recovery,' he said.

"Ice baths?' Armstrong asked.
"Yeah literally, just freeze my balls off for a bit, that's the way to enjoy it."
Quickly, though, Irvine realised his error.
He added: "No just full focus on the next one, there'll be a time to reflect... sorry I forgot I am live as well!
"There'll be time to enjoy it at the end of the tournament but we'll just focus on the next one."
With Armstrong laughing in the background, Irvine added: "I need one [ice bath] now, I'm sweating!"
