Anthony Pettis wins bet on Stephen Thompson to beat Kevin Holland but fighters claim Fight of the Night bonus for bruising encounter at UFC Orlando

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis is richer thanks to Stephen Thompson.
'Showtime', who currently competes for the Professional Fighters League, bet on 'Wonderboy' to beat Kevin Holland at UFC Orlando on Saturday night and is $8,500 richer as a result.
Thompson and Holland will be feeling a little sore on Sunday morning following their 20-minute Fight of the Year contender, but they will be happier knowing they gave fans a real treat.
Holland's chin won praise for the punches it absorbed from his 39-year-old opponent until his corner called it off after four rounds, with it being revealed he had broken three knuckles on his hand.
And while Pettis, who beat Thompson in a 2019 UFC welterweight fight, celebrated his winnings, both Thompson and Holland are $50,000 better off with the main event easily winning the Fight of the Night bonus.
"Karate, baby!" Thompson said as he walked out of the arena.
"Don't take it away from those kung-fu guys because they are tough, but karate won. And I hurt everywhere right now."
And, while Holland was taken to hospital for his hand injury, Thompson had his face stitched up backstage.
It was a sign of Holland's toughness, something Thompson appreciated afterwards.
Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman was on hand to film his pal being mended and was in good spirits as medical staff stopped the deep cuts bleeding.
Watching on, was his dad, Ray joked: "For an old guy he did alright!"
Once he was put back together, Thompson thanked his fans for the support and Holland for the fight.
"I'm a little banged up but feeling good."
