Manchester United won the Carabao Cup after beating Newcastle 2-0 in the final at Wembley this afternoon.

The Red Devils picked up their first piece of silverware under manager Erik ten Hag as their superb season continued.

Casemiro opened the scoring with a header before Marcus Rashford's shot was deflected past Loris Karius by Sven Botman.

Newcastle then pushed to get back into the game but could not find the net as their 54-year wait for a trophy continued.

Ten Hag's side managed to see out the result and lifted their first trophy since 2017 at Wembley.
