Parker has been able to find a new position though, this time at Belgian champions and Champions League outfit Brugge.

However, the 42-year-old has revealed that the Belgian First Division is something new to him, as well as his new squad of players.

Speaking in his , he said: "Over the course of it, in terms of the football club, I understand it.

"In terms of the league, probably not as much. But certainly as a football club and Club Brugge, totally understand what it was about with big history.

"The team and where it sits at the moment in terms of real detail in the squad, I think it would probably be a little bit unfair of me, and certainly it will be not with the biggest amount of knowledge as such.

"I have an understanding of individuals and players but I wouldn't really want to comment at this moment in time regarding that really."
