Arsenal transfer report: Gunners target Mauro Icardi set to sign new contract to stay at Inter Milan

Mauro Icardi is ready to snub interest from Arsenal and Napoli by signing a new contract with Inter Milan
The striker was heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro in the summer after impressing last season - scoring 16 goals in 33 Serie A appearances.
Arsenal and Napoli were interested in signing the 23-year-old, but neither side were able to agree a fee with Inter Milan.
Icardi is already back among the goals this season and he has found the net three times in as many games.
But the Argentina international is now ready to commit himself to Inter Milan, instead of jumping ship in January, by signing a new contract.
Indeed when asked about extending his current deal, Icardi told Mediaset Premium: "I spoke to the club, everything got sorted out and I am relaxed."
