Pepe Reina believes Liverpool’s 'easier' fixture list could see them lift the Premier League title in May.

The Reds, who are in a four-way race for the crown with Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal, are desperate to land one of the most open title races for years.

And Reina, currently on loan at Serie A side Napoli, believes Liverpool’s remaining fixtures, coupled with their mental strength following the 3-0 defeat of arch-rivals Man United, will see them victorious in May.

“People now believe they can win the Premier League title,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “The demonstration of football against Man United was the best signal so far they can win the league.

“The fixtures are also a little bit easier for them than the other teams. Winning 3-0 at Old Trafford, even against a struggling Man United side, is never easy.”
