Everton fans roadblock Anthony Gordon and shout ‘get out of our club’ while Yerry Mina gets out of car to confront supporters who demand ‘passion’ after Southampton defeat

Everton fans created a roadblock to castigate Anthony Gordon, while Yerry Mina confronted angry supporters after a defeat to Southampton.

Frank Lampard’s team lost 2-1 to their fellow bottom three side thanks to a James Ward-Prowse double, making it five losses and a draw in their past six games.

The Toffees are certainly in relegation form after narrowly avoiding dropping out of the Premier League last season, and supporters have had enough.

Disturbing news emerged ahead of the match that board members had been advised not to attend the Goodison Park clash due to a ‘real and credible threat to their safety and security’.

And things quickly spiralled out of control at full-time, with Everton players unable to leave the ground uninterrupted.

Academy graduate and local Liverpool born forward Gordon was targeted as bollards were placed in the street so his Mercedes couldn’t move.

Fans were then heard telling the 21-year-old ‘get out of our club’ and ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ as he remained in his car unable to move.

Colombian international Mina, who was an unused substitute for the game, did get out of his car, but was chastised by angry fans, with one in full conversation with the defender.

The fan could be heard saying: "You're going to leave us if we go down aren't you, if we go the Championship, you'll leave won't you? You'll leave.

“If we go down to the Championship, will you stay? No you won't. If we go down, will you stay? I want you to show heart lad.

Mina’s response was less audible, but he seemingly said ‘I love the club’ and appeared to point at the badge, which earned another response.

"Show us a bit of heart then!” the fan said. “Be a leader. Speak out.

“All we want is passion. Show us a bit of passion. Start speaking up lad, show them you're the man.

“Be our captain lad, you could be our captain if you speak up. Wear the armband. Speak up."

Mina received a handshake from supporters, who also applauded before police escorted him away from the scene.

Following their latest defeat Everton sit second-bottom of the league, joint on 15 points with 20th-placed Southampton, while manager Lampard is the betting favourite as the next Premier League manager to lose his job.
