Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris makes ‘absolutely shocking’ mistake as he bundles Bukayo Saka’s cross into his own goal to give Arsenal lead in north London derby

Hugo Lloris gifted Arsenal the lead in the north London derby with an 'absolutely shocking' error.
The French goalkeeper was left blushing after Bukayo Saka broke into the penalty area down the right side and fizzed a cross towards his near post.
Instead of trying to catch the ball, Lloris attempted to parry the ball to safety but got it all wrong as his attempt to clear his lines saw the ball drop over his goalline and into the back of the net.
Saka couldn't believe his luck as he and Gunners' skipper Martin Odegaard partook in a synchronised basketball celebration.
But for Lloris, he looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up.
Speaking to talkSPORT about what he'd seen, Ade Oladipo said: "That’s one of the worst I’ve seen from him,” to which Perry Groves replied: “It is, because it’s like the ball has taken him by the surprise.
“When Bukayo Saka gets to the byline he tries to cross it but it gets a little deflection off Ryan Sessegnon, it’s not a huge deflection.
“Hugo Lloris, he should just be palming that away with both hands. It seems that it’s taken him completely by surprise, he seems flummoxed by it.

“That’s like me going in goal, someone who is not used to being a goalkeeper, and just having no reflexes or concentration.
“He’s shaking his head and looking bewildered, but that is an absolutely shocking goalkeeping mistake.”
Things went from bad to worse for the home side with Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard doubling their lead on 36 minutes.
