Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea, Pedro Porro joining Tottenham, Arsenal set to sign Jorginho and Conor Gallagher a wanted man – the deadline day deals to watch out for

Transfer deadline day is finally upon us, and there is still plenty of business to be done by busy board members.

Premier League clubs at both ends of the table are scrambling to secure last-minute deals for a push for silverware or survival in the second half of the season.

A late arrival could also be the difference between finishing in the Champions League spots with the top four gap closer than ever.

With that in mind, marvelbet369.com looks at the potential transfers that could be signed off before the clock strikes 11pm on Tuesday...

Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea

Chelsea have already shattered January transfer records after bringing in seven players, with Mykhailo Mudryk the biggest outlay at £89million from Shakhtar Donetsk.

But they have turned to the magic eight ball before the deadline which clearly told them to table a British-record £105m for Fernandez.

talkSPORT revealed the Blues returned for the World Cup winning midfielder after Brighton refused to sell Moises Caicedo.

And now Chelsea, who had agreed personal terms with Fernandez at the start of the month only to have seen multiple offers rebuffed by Benfica, have submitted a bid that meets the 22-year-old's buy-out clause. The fee could rise to £115m, including bonuses.

However, the two clubs are still locked in talks as we approach the end of the day.

Conor Gallagher to Newcastle/Everton/Crystal Palace/West Ham

Should Chelsea succeed in signing Fernandez then Graham Potter would need to trim his squad and Gallagher could head for the exit.

The England international has started just nine times in the top-flight this term and is set to now fall further down the pecking order.

And there is a lot of interest in him.

However, talkSPORT understands that, as it stands, Gallagher won't be leaving Stamford Bridge.

Everton tabled a bid worth £45m but Gallagher rejected a move to Goodison Park.

Newcastle are among the clubs interested in a potential loan following Jonjo Shelvey's imminent departure to Nottingham Forest, but Chelsea are reluctant to strengthen the Magpies’ quest for a Champions League place.

Moises Caicedo to Arsenal

Caicedo has already made it abundantly clear he hopes he's not still at Brighton next month after posting on his social media accounts asking to leave the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal have already failed with two offers for the Ecuadorian midfielder, but could make one last push.

Brighton, though, remain adamant he is going nowhere and will not entertain any offers.

Mikel Arteta remains short of midfield cover regardless of Caicedo's future as Arsenal chase a first Premier League title in almost two decades.

And the Gunners' desperation for reinforcements has seen them agree a deal with Chelsea for Jorginho.

So, it looks unlikely Caicedo will be leaving the south coast, but in the transfer window, you never know.

Jorginho to Arsenal

The Italian is on the cusp of swapping west London for north London after Arsenal and Chelsea agreed a deal worth £10m rising to £12m.

The 31-year-old was into the final six months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea would have lost him for free this summer.

Gunners boss Arteta has been a long-term admirer of Jorginho and the Italian international is set to sign a deal until the summer of 2024 with the option of an extra year.

So, Arteta has got his man.

Hakim Ziyech to Paris Saint-Germain

Another player who could be heading out the door at Stamford Bridge is Ziyech, who was linked with Everton earlier in January.

But talkSPORT understands that Chelsea have opened talks with French giants PSG over a deadline day move.

The Morocco star joined the Blues from Ajax in a big-money deal in the summer of 2020 but has struggled to hold down a regular starting place.

Harry Maguire to Inter Milan

Manchester United's captain could be close to following ex-Red Devils defender Chris Smalling in agreeing an audacious loan move to Italy.

Maguire has started just three games since the season resumed after the World Cup despite him playing every game for England under Gareth Southgate at Qatar 2022.

He was on West Ham’s transfer wish list earlier this month, but United are believed to be keen on keeping him until at least the summer.

Inter Milan could now test that resolve before the deadline as a replacement for PSG-bound Milan Skriniar.

Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of the versatile Manchester City full-back on loan until the end of the season.

The Bundesliga side have an option to buy Cancelo for £61.5m in the summer.

The Portugal international has been an unused substitute in City's last three games after falling out of favour under boss Pep Guardiola.

Cancelo has been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year in each of the last two campaigns but has moved to Germany.

Pedro Porro to Tottenham

The Spaniard's one-off switch to north London will go down to the wire following a roller coaster transfer saga.

Spurs had devised an instalment-based plan to pay the 23-year-old's £40m release clause but talks stalled on Monday morning.

Reports in Portugal even suggested that Man City could hijack the deal by triggering the buyback clause in his contract following Cancelo's impending exit.

But the move to north London is back on with Porro set to have a medical on Tuesday following a breakthrough in negotiations.

We now await official confirmation of Porro's move.

Sander Berge to Fulham

The Norwegian midfielder has been linked with a return to England's top-flight ever since Sheffield United were relegated in 2021.

Berge, who has been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea, will now finally get his chance after Fulham entered the race for his signature.

The Blades remain under transfer embargo and need to raise funds to pay the outstanding debt and Berge is one of their top assets.

The 24-year-old was left out of the matchday squad for United’s 3-3 draw with Wrexham, due to the uncertainty around his future.

Kamaldeen Sulemana to Southampton

The Toffees have an Anthony Gordon sized hole in their squad and are scrambling to arm new boss Sean Dyche with fresh attacking impetus as they battle relegation.

Moves for Gallagher and Borussia Dortmund's Thorgan Hazard have been touted but Rennes winger Sulemana was the top target.

However, talkSPORT understands Southampton have swooped in ahead of the Toffees and agreed a fee of £25m to take the winger to St Mary's.

Keylor Navas to Nottingham Forest

The PSG keeper had been at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between Forest and Cristiano Ronaldo's Saudi side Al-Nassr.

The 36-year-old opted for the Premier League over a bumper pay day in the Middle East and discussions are continuing between the clubs.

PSG are said to be hesitant over letting Navas leave and would rather Forest sign his teammate Sergio Rico instead.
