The January transfer window has now come to a close and it has been a record-breaking month in the Premier League.
Clubs have been searching for new signings to bolster their squads and they have most definitely spent big money to find them.

Top-flight sides have smashed all kinds of spending records, including gross spend and transfer expenditure during the winter window.
With Chelsea leading the way, a total of 62 deals went through in January putting the Premier League clear of any other division in Europe.
How much has Premier League spent this January?
In total, Premier League clubs had a gross spend of £815MILLION this January, according to .
This is a new record after almost doubling the previous highest spend of £430million in 2018.
When it comes to net expenditure in January, the 2023 window has completely eclipsed the previous record set last year.
In 2022, the total expenditure was £180m but this season, Premier League sides have a net spend of £720m.
This total accounted for 79% of all spending in the top five leagues in Europe in January.
It was more than three of the top five European leagues combined and marked the highest proportion of spend ever reported.

Tim Bridge, lead partner at Deloitte, said: "The record spending by Premier League clubs this season is beyond anything that we've seen before.
"It is a clear indication of talent acquisition being core to Premier League clubs’ business strategies.
"In securing the best available talent, clubs hope to improve results on the field, which in turn will enhance the appeal of the Premier League and further cement its position at the very top of world football."
Which club spent the most in January?
It won't come as a surprise to learn that Chelsea were the biggest spenders by a long way, accounting for 37% of the total league spend.
The Blues broke the British transfer record to sign World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez on deadline day for a fee of £106.5million.
In total, Chelsea spent almost £300million to bring in eight players in January, with other big names including Mykhailo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile and Noni Madueke joining the club.
Their total spend was more than Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and the Championship combined.

A long way behind in second place are Southampton who were active throughout but made their big money moves in the final hours, signing Paul Onuachu and Kamaldeen Sulemana.
Newly-owned Bournemouth also made multiple deadline day signings to move them into the top four spenders in January.
League leaders Arsenal spent £43m in the window, bringing in Jorginho from Chelsea on deadline day.
Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior also signed for the in-form Gunners from Brighton and Spezia respectively.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle jumped up the spending charts late on after signing Everton’s Anthony Gordon for a deal worth around £45m.

Manchester United made three loan signings in the window, adding Jack Butland, Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer to their ranks.
Meanwhile, Everton were the only team in the Premier League to not make a signing despite bringing in a big fee for Gordon.
