Arsenal loan star Folarin Balogun scores AGAIN to lead Ligue 1 scoring charts as Reims continue impressive run and remain unbeaten in the league under British-Belgian boss Will Still

Folarin Balogun has scored yet another goal for Reims as they continue their superb run of form under Will Still.

The 21-year-old striker is enjoying a superb season so far since he signed on loan from Arsenal in the summer.

Balogun had limited impact while at Middlesbrough in the second half of the last season, but has shined in Ligue 1.

The forward got onto the scoresheet in Reims' 4-0 home win against Troyes on Sunday.

He has now taken his tally to 16 goals for the season across all competitions for the club, with 15 of them coming in the French top flight.

This means Balogun now leads the Ligue 1 Golden Boot race, sitting ahead of Paris Saint-Germain stars Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi.

Reims remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 under the management of Still, which is testament to his work.

The Belgian-born boss took the job in October initially as the caretaker manager but was given a permanent appointment after an impressive start of five games unbeaten.

Reims continued their fine form after the World Cup, with their only loss under Still coming earlier in the week against Toulouse in the Coupe de France.

They made headlines just a few days prior, holding European giants PSG to a 1-1 draw at the Parc des Princes.

Still's current lack of qualifications mean the club are paying a €25,000 [£22,000] every time he takes to the dugout.

He recently spoke to talkSPORT about his impressive tenure at the club so far, saying: “It’s difficult to put into words. Ridiculous I think.

“If you told me about five or six years ago I’d be standing there telling my defenders how to defend against [Kylian] Mbappe, [Lionel] Messi and Neymar I think I’d have probably said punch me in the face because it sounds completely stupid.

“But once you get involved in the game and you see the stadium and the warm-up starts you kind of forget about it, I know that sounds stupid but it’s true. But the little boy inside me was standing there with stars in their eyes.”
