‘Of course I get angry’ – Chelsea boss Graham Potter snaps back at suggestions he’s too nice

Chelsea boss Graham Potter has hit back at claims he is not angry enough as a manager.
The Blues were denied a clear penalty against West Ham when a shot deflected off Tomas Soucek's hand in the dying moments of their Premier League clash on Saturday.
VAR had a brief look but opted against overruling the on-field decision to not award a penalty, a decision that has since seen Neil Swarbrick, the VAR official for the clash, taken off duty this weekend.
Potter's response in his post-match press conference was criticised for his tepidness, saying there was nothing to complain about. talkSPORT's Martin Keown was particularly scathing of his response.
Keown told White and Jordan on Monday: "Maybe Graham Potter is too nice, maybe he does need to get angry.
"Because it is real. It is real jeopardy. I want controlled opinion."
However, the Chelsea boss has since come out swinging, saying those who don't believe he gets angry don't know anything about him.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea's Champions League clash at Borussia Dortmund, Potter said: "I'm careful not to get into a discussion with the media through the media.
"Of course I get angry. I'm a human being just like you. It's just that I choose to conduct myself the way that I think is the right way to conduct myself on the side.
"I think the same media are talking about me being more angry and at the same time running stories about problems with referees at grassroots football. They don't see the connection.
"That's not to say we don't all lose our temper because we do. It's an emotional thing.
"At the same time, I think I have a responsibility to myself, to Chelsea and to the game to act in the way that I think is the right way for me, not for anyone else.
"If you think you can start a coaching career in the ninth tier of English football, and get to this point now as the Chelsea coach, Champions League without getting angry or being nice, I would suggest you don't know anything about anything."
The 1-1 result means that Chelsea have just won twice in their last 13 Premier League matches while they languish in mid-table.
Their only hope of silverware this season comes in the form of the Champions League, which sees them face Borussia Dortmund in the last-16.
