West Ham have no immediate plans to sack David Moyes, talkSPORT understands.
This is despite the Hammers dropping into the relegation zone following their 2-0 loss to London rivals Tottenham.
Moyes has come under fire from the club’s fans after a dismal run of one win in 11 Premier League games that’s left them third from bottom in the table and one point off safety.
But it is understood Moyes retains the backing of owner David Sullivan.
This isn’t the first time the east London side have slipped into the drop zone this season, with them flirting with the bottom three for the majority of the campaign.
Last season, the Scot led the Hammers to a seventh place Premeir League finish and to the Europa League semi-finals.
But despite overseeing a very different campaign this year and there being a real threat of a return to the Championship for the first time since 2012, Moyes’ job remains safe.
Following his side’s London derby defeat, Moyes threw down the gauntlet to his West Ham players.

“‘I do know I’ll be looking to see the colour of the players’ eyes in the next week,” Moyes said. “I can imagine what the colour of mine will be. The players have been challenged now.
“Let’s see who’s up for the fight.”
West Ham next face newly promoted side Nottingham Forest at home on Saturday in what will likely be a big indicator of how the rest of their season will go.
