Firmino could have ended up with an insane RTTF card but Liverpool are now out of the Champions LeagueCredit: Getty
Road to the Final cards are again dynamic FUT items for players whose teams are competing in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League knockout phases.
FIFA 23's edition will work in a similar vein to year's gone by, with RTTF players given an initial boost at the start and then each will have the potential for five additional dynamic upgrades based on how the player’s team progresses in their respective competition.
Win 1st knockout game after campaign launch (UCL) or qualify for Round of 16 (UEL/UECL) - +1 in-form upgrade
Quality for the Quarter-Finals - +1 in-form upgrade
Qualify for the Semi-Finals - +1 in-form upgrade and three new traits (they will depend on the player’s position and existing traits)
Qualify for the Final - 5 star weak foot upgrade
Win Final - +1 in-form upgrade and 5 star skill moves upgrade
Roberto Firmino appeared set for one of the best cards in the game but Liverpool's defeat to Real Madrid keeps his rating at 91.
There was disappointment too with Arsenal losing to Sporting Lisbon, meaning Gabriel Martinelli also ends his run with a 91 rating.
The actual RTTF players themselves do not need to feature in the games for club for them to count towards the upgrade
