‘I won’t deny it’ – Phil Neville admits Inter Miami are trying to sign Lionel Messi

Phil Neville has admitted Inter Miami are trying sign PSG superstar Lionel Messi.
The MLS side is owned by England legend David Beckham, who is desperate to make seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi the crown jewel in his project.
Messi is out of contract at the Parc des Princes this summer and his next move remians unclear.
For a long time, it seemed as though the 35-year-old would extend his deal with the French champions, but there have been doubts in recent days.
Speaking to , Inter Miami boss Neville said: “I’m not going to deny [it and say] there isn’t truth in the speculation that we’re interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.
“We want to bring the best players in the world to this football club. Messi and Busquets are the two that stand out more in recent years.
“They're great players who would still be a massive benefit to this organisation. For MLS, it would be a game-changer.”
Messi is thought to be interested in a return to Barcelona and his father - who is also his representative - has been meeting with officials from the club.
