Liverpool make history against Manchester United, Mohamed Salah cements legendary status and video sees players and Kop celebrate

The history books were ripped up on Sunday night as Liverpool hammered rivals Manchester United 7-0.
The Red Devils arrived at Anfield in terrific form, having won the Carabao Cup seven days earlier, while they had suffered just one defeat in 2023 - nobody saw this result coming.
Liverpool wiped the floor with their biggest rivals with a second-half performance that saw them score SIX times, which will live long in the memory of fans from both sides.
Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez scored twice and Roberto Firmino's late strike secured the stunning win. This is the first time since 1908 that three Liverpool players have scored at least two goals each in a single game against United.
This was Man United's worst defeat ever in the Premier League and worst in the league since Boxing Day 1931.
It was also Liverpool's biggest victory over United in their history, surpassing the 7-1 triumph over them in 1895.
For Salah, this was an historic day as he became Liverpool's highest-ever goalscorer in the Premier League.
His second-half double took his total tally to 129 - one ahead of Robbie Fowler in the Premier League. Quite the achievement for the Egypt international, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017.
Tweeting about the achievement, he wrote: "An extraordinary day for all Liverpool fans. I’m honoured to keep making history with this great club."
Salah's incredible stats do not stop there, though. He's the first player in Liverpool’s history to score in six successive matches against United.
Only Alan Shearer (ten) has scored more times against the Red Devils than the 30-year-old in the Premier League, with Salah's double taking him to nine goals against them, surpassing Sergio Aguero and Thierry Henry in the process.
He has also received more yellow cards at Anfield against United since the 2017/18 season for taking his shirt off in celebration [twice], than they have scored [once].
Salah also grabbed two assists in a pulsating display from the ex-Chelsea star, becoming the first player in Europe to score 20 and assist ten in all competitions - totalling 22 goals and 11 assists so far in just his 37th match.
Liverpool's domination over United at Anfield is not just contained to this Sunday, with the last eight home games against the club ending 2-0, 0-0, 0-0, 3-1, 2-0, 0-0, 4-0 and 7-0 - 18-1 on aggregate.
In fact, the last time United scored at Anfield was in 2018 with 11 Liverpool goals since happening with no reply.
Gakpo had his best performance in a Reds shirt while across the season he has been stupendous, including at PSV Eindhoven, and has been directly involved in 25 goals in 22 league games in 2022/23 (13 goals, 12 assists).
His strikes against United and Everton, Liverpool's biggest rivals, make him the first Reds player to do so in home games since Daniel Sturridge in 2013/14.
A dream day for Jurgen Klopp's men but for Man United the inquest has begun, and is set to continue for a while yet.
conducted a survey with 1002 Premier League away match-attending fans who have voted on which stadiums have the best atmospheres.
According to the survey results, Old Trafford is the highest voted for best-home support in the Premier League, agreed by 20.46% of the fans, with Anfield a close second with 17.64% of the vote.
