talkSPORT host Gabby Agbonlahor has revealed he lost an expensive bet with John Terry thanks to Chelsea’s win over Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues came back against their Bundesliga opposition in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, and progressed to the quarter-finals.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz secured a 2-0 win, overturning a 1-0 first-leg defeat in Germany.

Chelsea were dominant against a surprisingly lifeless Dortmund, which cost former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor dearly.

“I thought from the first whistle Chelsea were outstanding, pressing, aggressive,” he said.

“[Marc] Cucurella had his best game, [Ben] Chilwell going forward, Sterling making runs in behind.

“I want to see them next game, they’ve got Leicester away, let’s see if they can do it against a Premier League side because Dortmund weren’t great.

“I was expecting more, they cost me a bottle of Tignanello, I had a bet with JT. Have you got a bottle at home you can loan me Ally [McCoist]? I had Dortmund to go through.

Graham Potter made the right changes as well, [Joao] Felix looked a bit tired, he bought [Conor] Gallagher on.

“Those are the kind of changes you want to see from a manager, not just sitting there and saying ‘we’re winning 2-0’ he slowed the game down.”

Potter's good work will be costly for Agbonlahor, with a bottle of Tiganello wine worth over £100.

Terry made sure to make the bet public too, posting a thanks to his former England and Aston Villa teammate on Instagram.
