Despite being a regular on the Los Blancos bench, the 32-year-old has not featured in LaLiga or the Champions League since the World Cup break.

And the Chelsea icon has revealed his relationship with the former Everton manager has deteriorated to the point that they no longer interact with each other.

Speaking about his issues in Madrid to  ahead of Wednesday's clash against Liverpool, Hazard said: “There’s respect between Ancelotti and I.

"But I'm not going to say that we talk to each other, because we don't talk to each other. But there will always be respect.

"But there will always be respect. Even if he doesn't make me play tomorrow... I have to have respect for a guy like Carlo Ancelotti.

"In what he represents for football, what he has done in his career. No problem."

Ancelotti echoes Hazard's statement about their relationship in his pre-match press conference, where he promised to give him more minutes in the future.

He told reporters: "Hazard statement? He has been honest, we don’t talk much, but the most important is to respect each other.

"I can guarantee that he can still help us at Real Madrid, for sure. I thank Eden as he’s always been respectful."

It was recently claimed how Hazard intends to see out his contract at the Bernabeu until 2024, where he will then move on as a free agent.

And the retired Belgium international has confirmed his intentions to stay on at Real until the end of next season.

Hazard stated he wishes to force his way back into Ancelotti's plans, but conceded he does have doubts whether he will play again this term.

He remarked: "I miss it, I want to play, I want to have fun on the field. Training is good, but what keeps us alive are the matches.

"I hope deep inside me that I can bring something and that the coach is still counting on me, I hope.

"We'll see if I'm still going to play by the end of the season. I doubt a little. It's up to me to show him in training that he can call on me.

"I would like to stay, I've always said that. I hope to play and to show that I can still do it. People have doubts, that's normal, I understand.

"But for me, I'm still here next year. You never know, but a transfer is not in my plan."

Real Madrid face Jurgen Klopp's men at the Bernabeu on Wednesday where they lead 5-2 on aggregate going into their Champions League Round of 16 second leg tie.
