David Moyes' side are bidding to reach the final four in Europe for a second successive season.

However, their winning run was ended in the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final against Gent with a 1-1 draw, meaning things are nicely poised for the second leg.

West Ham lost to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-finals last year after a meltdown saw both Moyes and Aaron Cresswell sent off and Declan Rice retroactively suspended.

Now, the draw at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland has mapped out the club's route to the final should they avoid a similar slip up against Gent.

Who would West Ham face in the Europa Conference League semi-finals?

The winners of Lech Poznan vs Fiorentina will meet one of Basel or Nice in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the winners of Gent vs West Ham will face either AZ Alkmaar or Anderlecht.

Europa Conference League draw

Quarter-finals

  • Lech Poznan (POL) v Fiorentina (ITA) (1-4 on agg)
  • KAA Gent (BEL) v West Ham (ENG) (1-1 on agg)
  • AZ Alkmaar (NED) v RSC Anderlecht (BEL) (0-2 on agg)
  • FC Basel (SUI) v OGC Nice (FRA) (2-2 on agg)

Semi-finals

  • Lech Poznan or Fiorentina vs FC Basel or OGC Nice
  • KAA Gent or West Ham vs AZ Alkmaar or RSC Anderlecht

It creates the possibility of a showdown between West Ham and a number of former Premier League rivals plying their trade at Nice in the final.

The Ligue 1 outfit have former Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and ex-Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley on their books.

Nice also have the past and present of Arsenal in the form of Aaron Ramsey and loanee Nicolas Pepe.

The Europa Conference League quarter-final second leg games will be played tonight, on April 20.

The semi-final legs will then be played on May 11 and 18, before the final on June 7 at the Fortuna Arena in Prague.
