‘Taking the wee’ – Ian Wright fires back at son Shaun for making fun of Arsenal result

Arsenal legend Ian Wright’s evening got even worse when he was subjected to taunts from his son.
The Gunners lost 4-1 to Manchester City in their Premier League title showdown and one former City star was loving it.
Shaun Wright-Phillips played in Sky Blue between 1999 and 2005, and then again from 2008 to 2011, and he is clearly still a fan of his old side, as he let his dad know.
Former Arsenal striker Ian was given the bleak task of analysing a painful defeat for the Gunners on Match of the Day, and this got worse when host Gary Lineker highlighted a Tweet from his son.
Shaun had tweeted in the aftermath of the defeat: “Hi @IanWright0 how’s things? Just checking in... Hope you’re ok dad.”
Ian was clearly unaware as Lineker said: “We’ve got a little message from someone you know reasonably well, I think he played for Manchester City.
“Are you going to accept that Ian? It’s a bit naughty.”
Wright Sr then hilariously responded: “See. He’s just so annoying.
“Someone I taught to wee. I taught him how to wee this boy and look at him. He still can’t reach the toilet.”
Lineker then quipped: “He’s certainly taking the wee now.”
