Paul Mullin reveals Wrexham squad are being ‘forced’ into Vegas trip by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney
Paul Mullin says Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been texting him about a post-season trip to Las Vegas.
Mullin helped the National League side achieve promotion to the Football League with an incredible 38 goals so far, and his Hollywood employers are making sure the players are rewarded.

The Welsh side were out of England’s top four tiers for an agonising 15 years, but are now back thanks to the guidance of their celebrity owners.
Promotion was achieved with a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood, with Reynolds and McElhenney in tears in the stands as the pitch was flooded by supporters.
But as Mullin told the , the celebrations are still ongoing.
“I don’t know if I can say it yet but we’re off to Vegas,” he said. “It should be unbelievable, that’s literally what they [the owners] were texting me about two minutes ago."
When asked about his partner's thoughts, Mullin said: “I don’t think she’s too happy about it but if the owners tell you you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.
“I don’t really want to go either, I’m devastated,” he then joked.

Mullin also spoke further on what it’s like to play for such unusual employers.
“It’s mental, it’s absolutely mental,” he explained. “You get used to it in the end but from the start until now, every week something mad happens.
“Football clubs are usually quite similar but I’ve never seen anything like it, even Fossy’s came in, Ben Foster, and he can’t believe it.
“One day you’re training like normal and you go back in the changing room and Will Ferrell is sat there, what are you meant to do? Just normal lads from around the block and A-listers turn up every week.
“They’re sound guys Rob and Ryan and it’s unbelievable.”

He continued: “Honestly you’ll be at training one day and then they’ll turn up and sit down with the lads and have dinner, they’re so accessible.
“Two seconds before I got on the phone they were both messaging me, it’s just mental how accessible they are, so open as people and so genuine, they make you feel that comfortable you can text them about anything, ask for help, they’re always willing to help.
“When they come over they can’t wait to come in the changing room, they’re like two schoolboys or like me when I was a kid wanting to meet the Liverpool players.”
Discussing the celebrations further, Mullin said: “I’ve followed Liverpool all of my life and I’ve never heard noise like that at the end of a game, a total outpouring of emotion for the years they’ve had of hurt.
“We had our own party on the pitch and then the owners set up a celebration the other side of the stadium with all the families and it was mental scenes, people hanging off of lamp posts at the end of the night and I ended up sleeping on a physio table for 20 minutes trying to catch some shut eye.”
Fans will be hoping the Vegas trip features on 'Welcome to Wrexham' after season two was announced for later in 2023.
