Man United’s new line-up? How the club could look if they land these transfer targets

David Moyes is going to be a busy man this summer along with partner in crime Ed Woodward.
The Man United manager, and Old Trafford chief executive, are planning on bringing in a number of new faces in an attempt to get the club back into the top four and, eventually, reclaim their place at the top of the Premier League. This is all good news for supporters and if the reported transfer targets join, United will have a pretty terrifying team next season.
Reports have claimed that Moyes has been in Portugal to check on Porto stopper and Man City target Eliaquim Mangala, but, as well as competition with City for the French ace, Napoli boss Rafa Benitez will rival him for Benfica centre-back Ezequiel Garay. Nemanja Vidic is leaving in the summer and Rio Ferdinand is expected to follow him out of the exit door, so new defenders are a requirement. Southampton and England left-back Luke Shaw has been heavily linked with a move, while the agent of PSV right-back Santiago Arias has fuelled talk of a move to England.
In midfield Toni Kroos is reportedly being offered huge wages to leave Munich for Manchester. The Bayern Munich man is exceptional and very versatile, as effective in a deep lying playmaker's role as further forward. He can dictate the tempo of a game with his range of passing and, sitting next to someone like £35m man William Carvalho, will make that area of the pitch strong again, with Marouane Fellaini, Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick to call upon, too.
Gossip columns have carried stories that Dortmund star Marco Reus wants to leave the club and join Moyes' revolution and as Guardian journalist Jamie Jackson explained to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show, "once you get a big player through the door, others start to think more positively about a move [there].” With Juan Mata in his preferred central role supporting Wayne Rooney or the injury plagued Robin van Persie, the Man United attack will be even stronger.
