Chairs thrown and riot police deployed as Espanyol fans chase Barcelona players off pitch after LaLiga title sealed

Barcelona's LaLiga title celebrations were marred by shocking scenes as a group of Espanyol fans chased them off the pitch.
Xavi's men sealed a first league title in four years with a 4-2 win at the home of their local rivals, but things turned ugly shortly after full time.
As the Barca squad danced in a circle in the middle of the pitch, some angry Espanyol fans stormed the pitch in an attempt to confront them.
The Barcelona players sprinted off and went down the tunnel, while the fans were eventually apprehended by stewards and riot police.
A chair was even being thrown on the pitch of the RCDE Stadium.
Speaking about the post-match carnage, Xavi told : "In the end the celebration is normal, but there comes a point when we are not at home. It was respectful to leave".
It's been a fine season on a domestic front for Barca, who raced to a 3-0 lead at half time thanks to two goals by Robert Lewandowski and Alejandro Balde.
Jules Kounde made it 4-0 on 53 minutes before Javi Puado and Joselu scored consolation goals for the home side.
The result means Barcelona have an unassailable 14-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid at the top of the table with four matches left.
By winning the championship in the back yard of their locals rivals Barcelona experienced what Arsenal managed in their last Premier League title win, being confirmed as champions with a draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
