West Ham have reached a major European final for the first time in 47 years following a dramatic 1-0 win away to AZ Alkmaar.

The Hammers will now look to lift their first piece of silverware since the 1980 FA Cup in the Europa Conference League final next month.

The Hammers, who hadn't played in a European showpiece event since 1976, came into the second leg with a 2-1 advantage.

But following a goalless 90 minutes Pablo Fornals stuck the decisive strike deep into stoppage time to hand Alkmaar their first defeat in 26 European home games to reach Prague.
